Ivorie Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 25, 2025

Ivorie, Inc. ("Ivorie," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Services") that connect future brides, past brides, and wedding vendors in our three-sided marketplace.

Definitions

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

  • "Future Brides" refers to couples who are planning weddings and seeking to book wedding vendors through our platform.
  • "Past Brides" refers to individuals who have previously had weddings and provide vendor recommendations and advice to future brides.
  • "Vendors" refers to wedding service providers (such as photographers, florists, venues, and other wedding professionals) who offer their services through our marketplace.

This Privacy Policy complies with applicable privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and adheres to Apple's App Store guidelines and data protection requirements. We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy carefully and contact us with any questions.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY NOTICE

We may modify this Privacy Notice from time to time, in which case we will update the "Last Updated" date. If we make material changes to the way in which we use information we collect, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify you, and take any additional steps required by applicable law. If you do not agree to any updates to this Privacy Notice, please do not access or continue to use the Services.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

When you create an account and use our Services, we collect information you voluntarily provide, including your name, email address, phone number, profile photos, wedding date, location and style preferences. We collect booking information and referral data necessary to attribute rewards to past brides and facilitate our marketplace reward system. For vendors, we collect business information including business name, service descriptions, and portfolio content of work.

Past brides may add business contact information for wedding vendors they've worked with. This information consists of publicly available business phone numbers and email addresses. Business profiles that include contact information become discoverable to future brides and include a 'claim this listing' option for vendor verification. We use business contact information solely for identity verification when vendors claim their profiles. We do not use this business contact information for marketing, outreach, or unsolicited communication with vendors. Vendors can verify their identity and claim their profiles through a verification code sent to the provided business contact information.

We collect the content you create, share, or upload through our Services, including wedding inspiration boards, messages sent through our in-app messaging system, photos from past weddings, and any other content you choose to share with the Ivorie community.

Data Storage Location

All user account information, profile data, photos, messages, and app content are stored on our secure servers hosted in the United States. Data is not stored locally on your device except for temporary caching to improve app performance.

Payment and Financial Information

We use Stripe, Inc. as our payment processor for all transactions conducted through our Services. When you make or receive payments, Stripe collects and processes your payment information directly. We receive limited information from Stripe necessary to facilitate transactions, including transaction amounts, dates, and verification of business legitimacy for vendors.

Through our integration with Stripe, we may access business verification data including legal business names, tax identification numbers, and business addresses to verify vendor legitimacy and prevent fraudulent accounts. For past brides who receive rewards through our platform, we may also access legal names from Stripe to verify identity and ensure proper reward attribution. We do not store full credit card numbers or sensitive payment credentials on our servers.

Identity Verification and Business Authentication

We verify user accounts to ensure the authenticity and safety of our marketplace community. This includes confirming vendor business legitimacy and past bride account verification through various methods including the payment processor data access described above and direct account verification processes. Verification data is accessed only by authorized personnel for identity confirmation purposes and is retained for as long as necessary to complete the services or until account deletion, whichever occurs first.

Device Permissions and Access

We request access only to data that is essential for our core marketplace functionality. Contact access enables mutual friend connections and platform growth through trusted recommendations. Location access allows geographically relevant vendor matching. Photo access enables profile creation and portfolio sharing necessary for vendor credibility. Each permission directly supports our three-sided marketplace model and cannot be substituted with less invasive alternatives while maintaining the platform's core value proposition. We request specific permissions to provide our core marketplace functionality:

Contact List Information and Social Connections

Contact Information Access: We process contact information to identify mutual friend connections between users. Contact data for mutual friend matching is stored in hashed format on our servers for security purposes. Business contact information provided by past brides for vendor profiles is stored to enable vendor verification and profile claiming through verification codes. Contact access requirements vary by user type:

  • Future Brides: Contact access is optional. With your permission, we use your contact information to show when you have mutual friends with past brides providing vendor recommendations, helping you trust and evaluate the credibility of their advice.
  • Past Brides: Contact access is required to connect you with future brides in your network who may benefit from your wedding experience and vendor recommendations. Past brides also use contact access to invite vendors from their contact lists to join the platform.
  • Vendors: Contact access is optional. Vendors may choose to allow contact access to invite past brides from their contact lists to join the platform.
  • Location Services: We request access to your device's location to help you find wedding vendors in your area and set venue locations for wedding planning purposes. Location data is used to provide geographically relevant vendor recommendations and may be processed through Google Maps services. You can choose to allow location access once, while using the app, or deny access entirely.
  • Photo Library Access: We request access to your photo library to allow you to select and upload images for past bride profiles, profile icons for all three user types, vendor profiles, wedding inspiration posts, and platform content. You can choose to grant full access to your photo library, limit access to selected photos only, or deny photo access. Photos you select are uploaded to our servers for display within the app. Photo metadata including location information, timestamps, and camera details may be collected when you upload images.
  • Purpose and Control: All permission requests include clear explanations of how the requested access will be used. You maintain control over these permissions through your device settings and can modify or revoke access at any time. Some app functionality may be limited if permissions are denied.

Automatically Collected Information

When you use our Services, we automatically collect certain information about your device and usage patterns. This includes device identifiers such as your iOS device's Identifier for Vendors (IDFV), device model, operating system version, app version, IP address, and mobile network information. We collect usage analytics including pages viewed, features used, time spent in the app, search queries, booking activities, and interaction patterns with vendor profiles and past bride profiles. We also collect log information including access times, crash reports, and performance data to improve app functionality and user experience.

Third-Party Services and Integrations

Stripe Payment Processing

Our payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc., which has its own privacy policy governing the collection and use of payment information. We receive transaction data and business verification information from Stripe necessary to facilitate transactions, verify business legitimacy, and comply with financial regulations. You can review Stripe's privacy policy at https://stripe.com/privacy.

Google Maps Integration

Our Services integrate with Google Maps to provide location-based vendor search, venue mapping, and business service area mapping. When you use location features, Google processes your location data according to their privacy policy. We do not store precise location coordinates but may retain general location preferences for service improvement. You can review Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Personalization and Recommendations

Your information helps us personalize your experience by providing customized vendor recommendations based on your wedding preferences, location, and budget, showing recommendations from past brides with mutual connections when available and tailoring the app interface to your user type (future bride, past bride, or vendor).

Monies earned by past brides may be subject to tax obligations. Past brides who earn $600 or more during a calendar year will receive a Form 1099 from us for tax reporting purposes. You are responsible for reporting these earnings on your tax returns and paying any applicable taxes. We recommend consulting with a tax professional regarding your specific obligations.

We do not share your data with companies for marketing purposes or allow third parties to use your information for their own business activities. We do not track your activity across other apps or websites for advertising or analytics purposes.

Service Providers

We share information with essential third-party service providers who assist us in operating our Services, including Stripe for payment processing, cloud storage providers for data hosting, and other technical service providers necessary for app functionality.

Legal and Safety Requirements

We may disclose your information when required by law or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with legal processes, protect the rights, property, or safety of Ivorie, our users, or the public, investigate fraud or security issues, or enforce our Terms of Service.

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity, subject to the same privacy protections outlined in this policy.

Content Moderation and Safety

Our platform includes user-generated content such as vendor profiles created by past brides, wedding photos, and user profiles. To maintain a safe community environment, we provide:

  • Automated content filtering to prevent posting of inappropriate material
  • A reporting mechanism that allows users to flag offensive, inappropriate, or harmful content
  • The ability for users to report other users who engage in abusive behavior
  • A dedicated moderation process that reviews reported content and responds to concerns within 24-48 hours
  • Community guidelines that prohibit harassment, discrimination, spam, and other harmful behavior

Users who repeatedly violate our community standards may have their accounts suspended or terminated.

Account information is retained while your account remains active. Transaction records and tax-related information are retained for the periods required by applicable law. Communication records and customer support interactions are retained for customer service purposes and legal compliance.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, though we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention and legal compliance. Your data is processed and stored on servers located in the United States.
